Hello. I’m Abby. Originally I’m from Jerusalem, Israel, where I grew up, but for the past few years I’ve been pretty much all over, spending some years living in SF and NY, and at the spare time traveling around south and central America, east Asia, Europe and the far East. And, well, now I’m here. Tokyo is such a crazy city. It answered all of my expectations and more. I keep getting lost around here, and I love it (not to worry, I always find my way. The trick is to keep on walking…) I love traveling- I think it’s a perfect way to learn new languages and get exposed to new cultures and different customs while meeting people from all over. I mean, hey, this world is huge and really interesting. I say, as long as I have the chance, why not get to know as much of it as possible? So far I got my Spanish fluent more or less, so as long as I am Japan I’m working on my Japanese. My major in college was archaeology, but after graduating I turned to writing, as a freelance beauty and fashion writer in magazines. But I still love archaeology, and ancient cultures are definitely a big interest for me. I also love anything that has to do with arts and crafts. Big hobbies of mine: sewing and designing cloths, making jewelry and embroidering, reading, walking around and playing with kittens, puppies and anything that is small and cute. And my new hobby is singing karaoke. And eating sushi and sashimi is also a mane one. So I got three more months to spend in this crazy amazing country, a country almost from outer space. While I teach here English mostly for children, I Hope I can contribute my English skills to adults as well as long as I’m here. So what are you waiting for? Come practice with me…
