Hey, my name is Daniel. I'm from Australia but I can't surf, I've never seen Ayer's Rock and I can't stand vegemite! I'd rather eat natto than vegemite.
I was born in Brisbane. Then I started moving around a lot. The Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney, - even a little town called Bluff which is in the middle of nowhere. I thought Sydney was a big place before I came to Tokyo. Now I regularly get lost in the JRail maze. I love to play (and teach) guitar. I had to leave my guitar back in Australia though because, as much as I tried, it just wouldn't fit in my backpack. I enjoy playing blues, rock, and a lot of stuff that was written before I was born. I'm a big soccer fan. I spent many nights watching the World Cup games with my friends. We'd run down the street banging on drums everytime Australia won. Then Italy came along. Bah!There's so many things to do in Japan and I have 6 months to do them all. I'd like to walk the Shikoku pilgrimage in October, visit some temples in Kyoto, and I can't wait to try my first onsen.Leaf Cup's a great place to meet new people. It's relaxed, comfortable. and the people are are always friendly. It almost feels like home. So, come on in, pull up a chair. I look forward to chatting with you. Oh and my real job is in Software Development. Chatting is too much fun to call work
