Many people comment on my accent as it is the first thing you will notice a little strange about me. So I'll give you a head start NC I was born in England and lived there for the first 10 years of my life before the family decided to move to Ireland where I have lived ever since, with a little time in California and Sydney inbetween. For someone who has lived so long in Ireland though my accent is too understandable! But this is a very good thing for you, right?
My journey to Japan actually started a few years ago with my year spent in Australia (a long story). I also caught the traveling bug and so visited many countries before finally deciding to take on the challenge of living and working in Japan. So far I have taken part in many great Japanese pastimes NC eating good food, playing sports, posing at the print club (priclu) shouting at karaoke and of course, sleeping on the train. The priclu thing is just for young Japanese girls apparently, which we discovered when we were politely asked to leave one in Shinjuku, now that was funny moment. I have worked many different jobs but the most interesting one has to be demolishing very expensive offices in the business district of Sydney. The most fun you could ever have with a shovel! Every Friday I would find myself with a wheelie-bin (trashcan with wheels) full of alcohol and ice, bringing it to a group of very thirsty lads for a well earned end of week drink. The sight of a little dusty irishman pulling a noisey, rattling bin through the center of Sydney was some spectacle!
My interests? So many really, especially meeting people who have good stories to share. I really like tea too so I'm right at home at Leafcup. So I look forward to meeting and speaking with you, come and tell me your story!
