Hi. My name is Day Paklanh Thavykane. I was raised in New York City (USA) for 27 years. I am a native English speaker, and I enjoyed life in New York City a lot, especially a little Island called Manhattan. With its endless street fares, bars, lounges and restaurant, it really is a city that never sleeps.
And for the last 10 years, I worked for Thomson Financial / FCC as Client Administrator in the Wall Street District. My general duties were to release defeasent, default, municipal, and published bond notices to the clients. It was one of the greatest job experiences I have ever had, but I resigned to pursue my childhood dreams of travelling to Asia and Europe. So far, I have travelled to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Japan. Each country has its own charm. And I hope that everyone out there will have a chance to travel around the world and bring new experiences from different cultures to better our daily life style. It really worth more than having billions dollars sitting in our bank account.
So far, Japan is one of my favorite country. I have dreamt of coming to Japan since I was 14 years old. Japanese animation, technology,culture and language are my drive. On my way to Japan from Thailand, I was so anxious to see what Japanese people really look like in their own country and to see how far advanced the technology goes but, as to my surprise, Tokyo is far from what I had imagined. I expected to see a Transformer car parked on the street and people like the character in the animae. But, in any cases, it's still the most advanced technology in the world.
And after Japan, I'll be travelling to France and Spain to pursue the same tasks. Hopefully, with these 3 extra languages that I hope to learn, I can land my dream job as a concierge in the near future.
And my last dream is to become a lounge singer in Las Vegas or in a fancy hotel in New York City. Singing is my life and joy, but for some reason, I can't never remember the lyrics to any songs out there, but I'll find my way some how.
