Hello there!
My name is Heiner. I am from London, England, where after high school and my graduation from Musicians Institute London, I worked as a musician and guitar teacher. In 2001, I visited Japan for the first time, to stay only for a short while before immigrating to the US. However, I enjoyed staying in Japan more than I expected and decided to live here instead of San Francisco, as I originally intended. At that time, I was residing in Ome, Tokyo for almost one year, before moving back to London for three years for business reasons, but I soon realized that Japan is the more fun country to live in and finally came back for good in January 2005, settled in Kashiwa, Chiba and never looked back! Since coming back to Japan, I have been able to continue working as a musician in addition to my part time jobs as an English teacher and actor.
My personal interests are music, films, nature and Japanese culture!
Speaking of which, here are some of my favorite aspects of living in this country:
the landscape -Japan has the most scenic and breathtakingly beautiful nature spots,
the architecture -the contrast of traditional Japanese buildings adjacent to futuristic architectural designs and modern high-rise buildings,
the mentality -many people in western countries could learn a lot from the respectful
ways, with which the Japanese treat each other,
...and of course the food -having ignored my fellow foreign friends and their opinions, I found out that Natto is actually delicious and has been my favorite for some time now.
