Konnichiwa, my name is Jake,
I am from the United States. And which state? The Ichiban state! Texas! I know I know, I’ve heard it all but when you meet me you’ll see that I defiantly do not fit the stereo-type. I was born in Houston, home of Destiny’s Child! Suki desu! I like to listen to their music and also many different types of pop music and the like. I’m sorry I don’t know much j-pop but maybe you can teach me. I always love to get a new keitai strap, kinda like a collection. I have been to many countries: Mexico, Panama(where my father is from), U.K., Israel, Australia, Japan, and USA. I have been in Japan for 2 times now, 3 months last year (2005) and this year I will be staying 6 months. That’s a combined total of 9 months! Isn’t that crazy? Well if you would have talked to me last year in January and you were to tell me that I was going to Japan I would have said “you’re crazy!” but I have learned that life can throw you many curve balls. I’ve been having these big adventure dreams like go to foreign countries, so I have not been concentrating on school. I’m still young right? I finish next year so that’s fine for now. Did I mention that I know a little about Japanese animation? I used to catch it on t.v. but I feel I don’t have the time anymore. Can I take this opportunity to say that I love Japanese cell phones! Back in the states we don’t have so many of these “Swiss Army Phones” that will do everything. Amazement! I am currently working on trying to learn Japanese but… it gets pretty tricky. To be honest the more I get into it I realize it’s not really that hard. An yes about Tokyo, I’m not going to go on and on about it but yes it is quite different that Texas. Back home nobody walks! I have to drive a car and if I can be honest I don’t like it. Chotto kowai. I am always very amazed at seeing different cultures. I do love to explore the differences. Anyway come on down and say hi to me. Hope to see you soon!
Matane!
