Hello!
My name is Karen. I am from Maine, on the north-east coast of the United States. It’s very cold there in the winter and there is lots of snow!　The fall leaves are also very beautiful. Most of the people I talk to in Japan don’t know where it is! Please check it out on a map if you are curious!
A friend of mine in high school influenced me to be interested in Japan. At first I liked Japanese animation such as Gundam, then I started liking J-pop music as well. Now I listen to many J-pop artists, even more than American music artists, and I love Japanese television! I like music shows, talk shows, variety shows, and quiz shows! I also like comedy and movies. I am very happy to be working in the television industry in Japan!
I studied Spanish & Latin in high school and I wanted to study Japanese. When I graduated from high school, I studied at a college in New York state for 3 and a half years, and at Sophia University in Tokyo for a semester. I came to Tokyo again to work after graduation. I am enjoying living in Tokyo and it is very different from my rural hometown! I enjoy reading and writing, and also movies and music. Please come to Leaf Cup and let’s have a conversation!!
