Hey hey..!
I am... a native English and speaker of it...I was living in London before I came to Japan...
Finally made it to Tokyo after two months of tripping across the great Eurasian continent from St Petersburg to Shanghai via beautiful Mongolia by train.  Apart from the fact that I burn in the sun and prounounce my Ts laughably well, I am not sure how much I represent the typical Brit!  Always glad to arrive in any new country I am not exactly a Nationalist...though I love a good pint of ale by a crackling fire.

I decided to come to Japan a long time ago as I am a greedy traveller and holiday is not enough culture shock for me.  In fact I don't think I get culture shock or jet lag so I guess that explains why I am blissfully happy in new surroundings.  Currently living in Ogikubo, I spend my days studying Nihongo and working on small design projects.  I love writing most of all and am working on a novel while here in Tokyo (for the forseeable future).  I love dancing, eating, drinking, reading, travelling, talking, thinking, writing, designing and walking around aimlessly.

I came to Japan to see Sakura and eat Japanese food mainly, but I also like sitting on the floor, all things small and kawaii, not to mention wierd technology and I whole-heartedly enjoyed my first ever earthquake experience... though of course, will be happy not to experience any larger ones, since my house is pretty old and shakes when my housemate coughs.

It is true what Japanese friends often to say to me about Tokyo - it is very convenient - in fact it is so comfy, compared to life in London, that it's like living in the world of Totoro...who by the way, I also love :)

I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new faces at the cafe!!
