Hi my name is Trent.
I'm from Australia, my mother was Australian, my father English.
Some quick things about me. Well I grew up in Sydney, beautiful place on the water, 15 minutes to the city centre. So even though I like the beach, I think I am more of a city lad, which is probably why I enjoy Tokyo so much. Anyway since then, well, let me see. I did a lot of house sharing with friends, mostly with girls who studied the same thing (Film/TV production, communication and culture), in big fun student houses. I also studied in the US, about 20 minutes away from Manhattan, where I made some Japanese exchange student friends. After that I was an Intern for a Major Film Company, working in lower Manhattan. It was more fun than work, and when I went back to Australia I worked for the same company, but decided it was more work than fun. I loved music festivals and events and so I worked there instead, mostly as a Production Assistant in major movie and music related events. That was a great experience, but I knew Tokyo would be filled with even more fun moments in work and play.
Now I am in Tokyo I can say, even with my high expectation, I was not disappointed. Tokyo so far has been absolutely incredible. I think if I ever had to leave Japan I would miss it, so it would be perfect if I could eventually travel between Australia and Japan. At the moment I live in Ebisu, my home away from home. I also like exploring Tokyo, and both talking about and hearing about new interesting places to go.
I spend a fair bit of time in Shibuya, and I like Shimokitazawa, Daikanyama, Aoyama, Roppongi/Roppongi Hills, Azabu Juban, Harajuku, Omotesando and Shinjuku. Of course traveling is great and I have been lucky to travel the world a bit, and hope to continue seeing what the world has to offer.
I would like to study Japanese, but at the moment, I merely have fun speaking with friends in Japanese and when I am working. Aside from speaking Japanese, I like trying out new funky restaurants. I also love music, many styles are fine, but at the moment I go for Indie Rock, New wave, Electro and trash rock. I like going to parties, especially free ones. I have a very odd life in Tokyo, pure excitement from week to week. I do fashion related modelling and in between I try to come into to Leafcup and meet you guys! Oh and I like writing, I dj and many more things, but if you really want to know, then come into Leafcup and find out more!
