Hey there! My name is Tyler and I have come to Japan to study at Aoyama Gakuin University as an exchange student. My major is International Politics and Economics ( ‘ΫŽ‘ŒoΟ ). At San Diego State University my major is International Business with an emphasis on East Asia, specifically Japan. I am currently taking classes in both English and Japanese, but the Japanese classes are very difficult!
When I am not studying Japanese, I like to go exploring in Tokyo. Tokyo is such a huge city that even though I am going to be here for a year, I wonft be able to see everything. I like finding places that sell cheap food or have cheap beer since everything is usually so expensive in Japan.
I am currently living in Nishigahara ( Όƒ–Œ΄ ) which is on the Namboku line in between Oji ( ‰€Žq ) and Komagome ( ‹ξž ). I live by myself in a so-called ggaijin house.h I have to cook for myself every night, which I donft really enjoy doing. I have a hard time cooking Japanese food, except for yakisoba which is very easy.
One of my favorite things to do is travel. Before I came to Japan, I traveled through most of South America for two months. My favorite part was hiking to Machu Picchu in Peru. Outside of South America, I have also been to Costa Rica, Mexico, Jamaica, Canada, Thailand, and Cambodia. Once I finish school in February I hope to travel again in Asia, but I havenft decided where, yet. It could be China or India or the Middle East or Thailand orc
Aside from traveling, I also love to watch and play sports. I enjoy watching soccer the most, although I am not good at playing it. In high school I used to play baseball and was also on the ski team. Right now, I am in a ski circle and the table tennis club at Aoyama Gakuin. I like to watch baseball as well, and have been to a few Japanese professional games. My favorite team is the Swallows.
I am always looking to have a good time, whether it be by watching sports, traveling, going to bar or anything else. I also like to learn and try new things, I think that there is something new that can be learned from each person you meet. I look forward to learning something new from you, so letfs talk soon!
